BDIB: arm party!

It's my very first Bloggers Do It Better assignment and I'm so, so excited!  I've been following Pretty Shiny Sparkly for a while now and I love Kristina!  The timing of this assignment is perfect...I've been doing some shopping while on holiday (!) &  I wanted to share my latest purchases with ya'll so what better way than to partcipate in the arm party.  I really love this look (and it seems to be pretty popular lately) so I specifically bought bracelets to stack...you can't really have too much of a good thing!

{all the shiny layers of my arm party!}

My first purchase was the tortoise shell Anne Klein watch.  I have a bit of a watch obsession and I've been eyeing the Michael Kors version for a few years now.  I couldn't justify splurging on the $250 watch because while I love buying watches, I don't actually love wearing them.  But, this was a steal at $55 (on sale at Macy's!) and it's so lightweight, I think I'll actually wear it.

{I tried to get a shot of the two charms}

The friendship bracelet on the far left is made of silver rope with shiny gold nuggets, and the best part: it was $5 at The Limited.  The 4 gold bangles are my own from my grandmother.  They're vintage 14k gold and a staple in my jewelry wardrobe.  I added a $28 John Wind charm (see the photo below).  If the name John Wind sounds familiar, it's probably because he designed Oprah's favorite bracelet!  I love the charm, it's a gold disc with a monogrammed M and a big pearl.  Next in the lineup is the Tiffany-inspired bracelet made of little gold balls. I found it in my old jewelry box at my parent's house.  The rollo link bracelet with a crystal charm is from none other than Forever 21 (there were many more charms on it, but it was a bit much so I took those off.)  And finally, the mermaid bracelet...it's half faux pearls, half faux diamonds and my favorite piece.  It came in a bundle with lots of other bracelets for $4 also from Forever 21.  So there you have it, my arm party!  I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's looks!  And if you're visiting for the first time from the BDIB challenge, welcome!  I'm excited to connect with you! xx

{what do you think of the John Wind charm? I added it to my grandmother's vintage 14k gold bangles}

super cool collection! Especially love the idea of adding a charm to simple bracelets! And that one is so pretty. No wonder Oprah loves the designs :)
