{currently coveting} rose gold. rocco.

My latest obsession: rose gold.  It's so soft & glowy.  And there's nothing that I love more than a purse with a classic square shape.  Enter the Alexander Wang Rocco with its simple lines, luscious leather and gorgeous stud details on the bottom.  The perfect combination of my loves.

But I must say, I just cannot bring myself to spend $900 for a purse!  I love a gorgeous designer bag as much as the next girl, and admittedly I even own a few of the genuine articles.  I'm just at a point now that I'm trying to be a responsible adult balance my love for style with frugality and practicality.  Plus, I absolutely believe that you can look beautiful, stylish and chic without spending a small fortune.  Seriously, that's almost half of a mortgage payment!

So it looks like I'll have to find one that's close enough at T.J. Maxx for $99 or else I'll wait for Alexander's collaboration with Target.  It's bound to happen.

Even if I wanted to purchase the bag, I cannot find it anywhere!
I couldn't even find proper pictures of it with the rose gold accents to show y'all.
(Sorry, the main photo is actually with the antiqued gold but you get the point...)

Maybe part of the reason it's so hard to find is because celebs love it too

I recently spotted the Rocco on the streets of Paris,
and from what I could tell, it's a beauty.
Do any of you own this purse?

I love a good story.
So I loved reading about Mr. Wang
over on Wikipedia...check it out!

So tell me, what's your budget on fashion purchases?
Where do you draw the line?  Even if you have it, will you spend it?

So happy to have you here!
Hope you have a rosey day,
xx

{ps}:
Happy Halloween!
Because it's not celebrated over in this part of the world,
it totally slipped by me this year.
But, I've loved seeing all your festive posts!
Hope you had fun this weekend!

{pps}:

I saw this tutorial awhile ago on how to DIY a spiked bag like that: http://sprinklesinsprings.com/2011/06/spike-rock-roll.html

I guess she also offers a service to spike your bag for you, which is cool, and a whole lot cheaper than the Alexander Wang option.

The most I've ever spent on a handbag was $170 for a Michael Kors bag--that was the TJ Maxx price. Usually, I won't spend more than $70 (and very seldom) on anything fashion related, so that was a huge jump for me. But I adore it, so I'd definitely go the designer route again someday...at a TJ Maxx price most likely.

I can understand why you covet..its perfectly classic and then WHAM..it has studs/spikes on the bottom...really digging it. Hopefully it goes on MAJOR sale or you find a look alike hidden gem at the max for the minimum:)
And you are right..its only a matter of time for the collab.
Happy Halloween.

rose gold spikes? Even better than the original. My sister has a bag from Target that is very reminiscent of the Brenda bag...just imagine if they actually collaborated with AW on a bag line.

Amazing bag. Alexander Wang is killing it with his handbag collection! Love me some rose gold too.

rose gold is my FAVORITE! I got started on it by this ring and pendant combo my Mom gave me, she had in the 70s/80s maybe and now, all of a sudden, I'm seeing this beautiful shade of gold popping up everywhere! ...But that doesn't make me love it any less :)
Here's a pic of ring + pendant, if you want to see!:
