{shopping haul} what I bought in Paris

Hi darlings!  I really wanted to share my Paris purchases with you all but when I took the photos, I realized they weren't really doing the items any favors.  So this weekend, I filmed my very first vlog!  It was a bit stressful, but actually really fun!  (I secretly always wanted to be a QVC host, so this was good practice!

I wasn't crazy about the video but my girlfriends convinced that I didn't really have a double-chin so I decided to just go with it.  But alas I think the double-chin angels were watching out for me, because I've been trying to upload the video to YouTube for the past few days and it won't work!  So, I'm back to my not-so-great photos.  They don't really capture the essence of these gorgeous French pieces like the video did, but it'll have to do for now.  Oh and remember when I created a shopping list of just 4 items that I wanted to buy?  Well...as you can see things worked out a little differently ;)

1) I bought a cape! I've been searching for one that isn't all black but also without patterns like plaid and I found it.  This is really perfect, it has a bit of an equestrian feel with the brown leather and the gold clasps.  Oh how I wish you could see this up close...it's gorgeous!

2) The Zara plaited shopper!  I've been wanting this bag for almost a year and it was finally available online but not in that color.  I went to 5 different Zara stores and finally found this at the Champs Elysees location!  Now that I have it home, I'm having trouble with the inside compartment, it won't stay on the pegs.  Anyone else having this issue?  If you have any tips to make it stay in place, please do share!

The only shoes I purchased were these light tan wedge booties.  I wanted to get a pair for Fall but didn't love any that I saw until these.  They lace up and the color is divine!

3) Oversized sweater in gold shimmer.  It's so soft and will be perfect with leggings and boots.

4)  I loved these pencil skirts so much I bought them in two colors: orange and white.  They have black side panels and will be great for work.

5)  Another shimmery tunic but that is a thicker sweater material.  It's gray with silver sequins, long and also great for leggings.  It has a zipper in the back.

6) I love this faux fur vest.  It's the only item that was actually on my shopping list.  It's a dark grey color and so soft!  It has a zipper and faux leather trim detail.

7)  This skirt is probably my favorite item.  It's a black mini with brown faux leather panels and a gold zipper! Love!  I don't usually wear mini skirts but I think this will be fine with tights and tall boots.

8)  Another oversized sweater although this is cropped.  It's a gorgeous bronze/pewter/gold color.  I love that the sleeves have a strip of sequins and there's a sequined pocket.  Although, I'm unsure about the shape.  It reminds me of Flashdance!  Remember that movie?

9)  Orange. Lace. Blazer. OMG!  Enough said.

***
It's really a shame that I couldn't upload the video
because it's hard to appreciate the true beauty of these pieces this way.
Especially that cape!
Oh well, next time!
Most of these items were purchased in boutiques in Paris
The brands are ones I've never heard of like Vera & Lucy and Vila
If you want specific details on any of the pieces,
send me an email, I'll tell ya what I know.

Oh, and I realized I forgot 2 more items!
I also bought a simple black cardigan
with brown professor elbows...I'm sure I'll wear it all season!
And, I bought a pair of black leggings with
brown suede patches on the inside of the knees.
Do you know the kind I'm talking about?

See you tomorrow for Paris street style looks!

Sorry this post is so long,
I wanted to try to explain a bit about each item.

And! We reached 100 followers yesterday!
Thank you all so, so much for your
love & support these past few months!
We've come a long way baby!

hope you have a wonderful day,
xx
