{guest post} Laily's New Year's Style Resolutions

Happy New Year lovies!  I'm back in the US and happy as can be.  Mostly just running around, taking care of errands (I need a cell phone!) and spending time with family.  I'm kicking off the new year with a post from the gorgeous Laily, a writer based in New York City.  She's here today sharing her 2012 style resolutions!

Laily writes a weekly column for {this is glamorous} called favourite five and is the blogger for Flower Girl NYCShe also happens to be one of my favorite people and long-time friend.

Welcome Laily!

1. 2012 is all about lady-like dresses with intricate embellishments and light hues. I am in love with this Valentino dress (as well as their entire Spring 2012 collection!)...what could be more perfect for spring?!

2. To me, real style isn't just about what's trendy. I'm in love with the vintage glamour of these YSL Statement Earrings I spotted on Moda Operandi! I'm so obsessed with antique jewelry that I rarely buy pieces that are new. In 2012 I would like to expand my antique jewelry collection, hopefully with lots of help from my grandmother's jewelry box :)

3. Pleats please! I can't wait to wear pleats this spring...especially accordion and delicate plissé! I love this Chloe skirt!

4. In the new year, I want to start using all-natural products for my face and body...I recently discovered  Nobu Nau, a natural and organic skin care boutique, and tried their Nude Replenishing Night Oil...and can honestly say I have never seen such immediate results with a skin care line...I can't wait to try more of their products!

5. I'm so excited to wear pastel hues this spring! I love separates in sorbet shades like this outfit from the Philip Lim Spring 2012 runway!

6. I love wearing my hair down and its usually the easiest thing to do, but for the new year I would love to go out of my comfort zone and try fun & chic braids like this one.

Thanks for having me Mae! Hope you all have a lovely 2012!

Yay you're back!

Laily love your resolutions! I too am hoping to be more ladylike and put more effort into my daily style (I work from home so it's easy to get lazy about it). And I've never been into jewelry but lately I've been wearing some pieces that my grandmother gave me before she passed away. Meaningful, and pretty!
