{fashion files} navy + black

It was so fun to see everyone post about red + pink yesterday,
it got me thinking about another unexpected color combination: navy and black.
It's a look that's been done time and time again, but really who doesn't love it.
It's true high fashion. I mean seriously, check out this street style!

I put together a few looks of my own:

Do you wear navy and black?
Do you agree that it's stylish or do you think it clashes?

I'm off to Austin (again!) tomorrow
for a girls weekend/destination bachelorette party
So looking forward to spending time with my favorite ladies!

The adorably sweet Carly will be here with you tomorrow
And I'll be popping in for Friday's Fancies before the weekend

enjoy your day my dears,
xx

{ps}:
Because I totally forgot to post about my Valentine's Day specials
until late in the afternoon yesterday, I decided to extend for just one more day.
Yay!

I think it can be really chic in an edgy, I'm French and can pull of anything sort of way!

I haven't wore navy and black together mostly because I do not own a lot of navy. I really want to try it and love the looks you created.

Your two outfits have convinced me that they can be worn together. I've been wary in the past but I may have to try this out.

Have a wonderful weekend in Austin! :]

oh MAN, I love Navy and Black! I think of navy as a neutral and pair with anything. I love how you've played with textures in your first look with the lacy shirt and the leather skinny pant. Very classy!

I have always disliked blue and black together, it reminds me of a bruise, but the deeper navy with black looks chic. And its nice to bot stress about finding navy shoes to wear w a navy dress, just wear your fav black pair!
