Fall Fashion Essentials {Part Two}

Hello dears!
I'm en route back from Montreal but I wanted to share part two of my Fall Fashion essentials list.
So without further ado, here are my last 5 must-haves for the season!

The vest is a similar concept to the blazer, it covers! Plus it's another layer of interest in your outfit. Play with textures and make sure to pick up one of the season's hottest styles: either safari or faux fur.
{My picks} safari style + faux fur style

Nothing says Fall like soft buttery leather in a creamy caramel color.  The neutral palette can be worn dressy or casual and works well with all skin tones.

In case you haven't heard yet, leopard is the new neutral. Seriously. Gone are the days of tacky leopard, instead it's being worn by the most stylish of ladies. Leopard loafers add instant glamour and style. The next time you think to reach for a pair of black flats, slip these on instead. You won't regret it.

Cardigans have gotten a bad reputation over the years for being boring. These inspiration photos show, they are anything but. Use them to add a pop of color, pattern and warmth. You can even throw on a belt over a buttoned cardigan for extra style.

I remember when the denim shirt was popular when I was in Junior High School. I'm so happy this style staple is back! It's great for Fall, and can replace your basic white button-up shirt. Layer it under your cardigan or over leggings.

And finally, a couple simple style tips for dressing in any season. Most importantly, know your body. It doesn't matter what's the latest trend is, one should focus on dressing in silhouettes that work well for your body shape. Secondly, accessorize! A pair of statement earrings or a bold necklace can turn even the most basic of outfits into a dazzler. Accessories also ensure that the pieces in your wardrobe get more mileage and wear. Throw on a jean jacket over a black dress for daytime and then swap it out for layers of pearls for evening. Next, don't be afraid to mix patterns. This can be tricky so start simple with stripes and leopard or floral and stripes. Try the same color family, small scale prints and keep them as far away from each other as possible. (for example, a shirt and shoes) And finally, strategize so you don't have to spend a fortune to look good. Invest in classic items that will last longer and then look to trendy stores to fill in with the season's hot new styles.

I hope these style essentials have inspired you!
Happy {almost} Fall! xx

I love that I already have a few of these in my closet--which is great considering my budget! One thing I definitely want to pick up is a camel leather (or faux-leather) jacket, I love these!
