As the seasons change and we enter the final quarter of the year, take this opportunity to clean up and clean out! Here are 4 easy ways to simplify and organize your life and make sure you end 2020 strong!
Simplify Your Space
I’m very impacted by my surroundings so I try to always declutter and simplify the spaces in my home. If you can’t get to it all, focus on the areas that you spend the most time in. If nothing else, try to declutter your kitchen and home office.
Take Control of Your Inbox
Email can be so overwhelming! Take some time to clean up in your inbox. Unsubscribe from mailing lists that no longer serve you and move junk mail to the trash. Then create labels / categories / folders and setup automated actions so your emails are automatically categorized and put into the proper place as you receive them. Taking control of your inbox will help set the tone for your work day!
Get The Right Accessories
Getting organized is much easier when you have the right tools. I love using a label maker for my home office and my pantry especially. Create an organized system that includes a place for everything with a label. I also love to use baskets, bins and boxes to keep like items together and to keep items from sprawling across the whole house. Containers help to keep everything nice and tidy. And you don’t have to spend a lot of money! Check out Dollar Store for lots of affordable organization accessories.
Uniforms + Meal Planning
These two things may not seem like they go together but they do! Having a clothing uniform that you wear daily and planning out your meals ahead of time are two ways to reduce the number of decisions you have to make in a day. Decision fatigue is a real thing and it can be overwhelming. The more things in your life you can automate, the better. Having these routines will help make your life simpler and more organized!
