Glossier First Impressions | You Perfume + Futuredew

It seems like everywhere you turn, someone is saying how fabulous Glossier is or posting a cute selfie from one of their beautiful stores. I’ve visited the Glossier store in Los Angles and it is really lovely! But nothing really struck my fancy when I was in the store so I left without a purchase. Fast forward a few months and I just kept hearing about a couple Glossier items over and over: Futuredew and You perfume. So I added them to my list and when Black Friday rolled around, I grabbed them. I haven’t been using them long enough to give a full on review but I wanted to share my first impressions because spoiler alert: so far, so fab!

You Perfume

At first, I wasn’t a huge fan of the smell out of the bottle. But the whole point of You perfume is that it works with your body’s own chemistry to create a unique fragrance just for you. According to the Glossier website, You is creamy, sparkling, clean and warm. Sounds amazing right? Glossier says that the formula is incomplete until you wear it because you’re the first ingredient.

Base notes: ambrette (comfy & warm), ambrox (smooth & salty) and musk (long-lasting & addictive)

Top notes: iris root (earthy & woody) and pink pepper (spice & sparkling)

First Impression: After wearing it for a few days, this perfume really grew on me. It’s warm but bright.

I bought a special set that came with Balm Dotcom — I picked the rose flavor and let me tell you, it is so smooth and lovely. Now, Glossier has a great set that includes You, Balm Dotcom and Boy Brow.

Balm Dotcom is a skin salve and it has truly been a savior for my very chapped lips this summer. There’s an original (clear) plus seven different flavors! I’ve tried the rose and the coconut and love them both. It contains: Castor Oil, Beeswax, and Lanolin.

Futuredew

GIVE ME ALL THE GLOWY SKIN! Futuredew is a vegan product with oils and plant-based extracts that make your skin look brighter

According to the Glossier website, Futuredew provides an instant dewy glow that lasts — it’s supposed to be a shortcut to the way your skin looks after a full skincare routine. It’s supposed to be long-wearing up to 12 hours.

First Impression: I really like this! It is dewy! Lately all I want is to have glowy skin so this is perfect.

Use: last step in your skincare routine after moisturizer, serums and sunscreen
